Well, it’s been a tough week for aliisaacstoryteller! On Monday I was so hopeful…the end was in sight, and I really believed that by the end of the week, I would be writing the last word of ‘Conor Kelly and The Fenian King’. Alas, it was not to be.
I have written and re-written, organised and re-organised the various scenes which comprise the final chapters, but I’m still no nearer that final full stop. Today, I am taking a break…I have to; I’ve been so focused on the writing, I could barely put a school lunch together for my boys, the cupboards were so bare!
It’s a wild and windy day here in Cavan. Going out into the storm to hunt for food for my family is a brave and desperate act. But I’ll do it, and maybe out there, somewhere along the way, I’ll find my inspiration, too. If the Cloak of Concealment doesn’t claim me, that is…
The weekends revolve around fulfilling Carys’s needs, and my boy’s various sporting activities; there’s not much time for writing. But perhaps next week will see that final word hitting the last page.
As Captain Picard of the starship USS Enterprise famously said, “Make it so.”
As they say Ali, good things come to those who wait. And you just never know where a pocket of hidden inspiration will appear from. Perhaps at the end of the rainbow, underneath the crock of gold. π Best of luck, im sure it will all fall in to place in due course.

Sounds interesting! Always good to push oneself out of ones comfort zone every now and again, even though it can be a bit scary. Hope you enjoy it!

Sometimes you just got to take a step back, in order to eventually go further forwards π

You are so right, Harliqueen! And sometimes more than one step…but we all get there in the end. Writing 4TE was the first project I ever saw through from beginning to end…if I could do it then, I can do it again! Its just that feeling of being sooooo close, and still so bloody farther away than I expected, lol!!!

That’s the trouble with reality Ali – it interferes with the fantasy worlds we REALLY want to live in LOL
Happy and successful foraging π

I didnt go foraging in the forest, it was too wild and windy, and didn’t fancy a tree on my head. I joined a stampede in the concrete jungle instead, it was crowded, but the hunting was good. Actually, I just went shopping in Tesco, but that sounds soooo boring…actually, it WAS boring, but that’s the way I roll…yeah, and roll on monday morning so I can escape to my fantasy world again!

LOL Don’t ever lose the ability to imagine being on a quest when in reality it’s the local Tesco π
