So here we are on Day Three of the Conor Kelly and The Fenian King Mini Blog Tour, and after a nice quiet reading day yesterday, where you got an exclusive peek into the opening of my soon to be released new book – did I mention that I have a new book out yet? Oh, I did… lol! Today, Karen and I enter into a more lively debate on the merits and pitfalls of self publishing v trad publishing on her blog, My Train of Thoughts On… Why not make yourself a cuppa and join us? You deserve a break, and we’d love to know your views…

Tomorrow is Day Four, and guess where I’m heading? Yep, Karen is switching things around a bit, and for her 3 Quotes feature is presenting you with some words of wisdom uttered by my characters from my afore mentioned new book… Don’t miss them!

  1. Fantastic interview, Ali! Very interesting, I definitely learned something new. I probably have said this before but another great thing about how you self publish your books is that you put them on smashwords, which is I think the most accessible commercial ebook site that exists. I’d much rather be buying a book I can read to support the author than hope it will eventually show up on bookshare, a site for people with print disabilities. There are so many books I’d love to read but literally can’t. It’s awesome that you’ve made sure that your novels are available to everyone, regardless of ability. Good on you!

    • Hmmm… I think we need to have a chat about this, Éilis. Are you saying that Amazon is no good to people with visual impairment? Why? What is bookshare? Will you email me about it? Cheers!

    • Thanks Ed! That image is cropped from the original book cover, changed to B&W darkened the edges and added a bit of texture all courtesy of Picmonkey! Not bad for an amateur! Hehe! Havent even had time to THINK about the props for the trailer yet, but I always knew I wouldnt get a chance before we go on our hols.
