  1. I think I missed all the ‘missing post’ drama – glad it was all cleared up quickly. We’ve all been there, that’s for sure! I enjoyed this post, and I felt for the poor people with the boils – almost sounds like the plague, but I imagine they were psychosomatic, such was the effect of the satire.
And I do find your images interesting! Where in the world did you find an image of someone with their tongue on fire (and this is from someone who used to buy stock photography for design agencies)? 😀

    1. Haha! Thanks, Helen. Isn’t it amazing what you can find? I love these photographers, God knows what’s going on in their heads, but they almost always manage to illustrate my posts, and they’re not easy ones to do! I get all my images from Fotalia. I’ve tried lots of different stock photo agencies, but for me Fotalia have always worked out the best, so I don’t look anywhere else anymore.

  2. Well it dont get much better than that Ali, I could not have said it better myself. So many wonderful tales of Hero’s Heroines and tragedy. Cant understand why hollywood have not snapped up some of the well known stories! I feel like there may be an Encyclepedia of Irish Mythology in the pipline??? Oh and when you do dont forget Gráinne Mhaol?

    1. Thanks Ed! I know, what is wrong with them? Someone needs to draw their attention to it, although I dread to think what might happen! 😂 Is that Grace O’Malley? I was just reading about her… quite a formidable woman by all accounts! Not really a pirate as such, typically only one aspect of her has been picked up on and blown out of all proportion!

      1. So true, she was on equal terms with ould Lizzie and was quite a strong woman during a time when the men seemed to rule the roost. Our reinactment group were involved in a discovery channel a few years ago. It was presented by Lucey Lawless.

    1. I had exactly that feeling… I realised immediately and wanted to ‘undo’! Hehe! Well, I guess its quite easily done. Glad I’m not the only one. I think mostvpeople realised, as not many responded to it… apart from the few who gave me a gentle ribbing!

    1. Haha! (I almost wrote the other laughter abbreviation there!). Thanks Geoffle! Actually, been having a bit of trouble with my blog, and email, so sending out a blank notification to my followers was just the icing on the cake, well done, Ali! Sorry!
